Office Policies

Welcome! I look forward to the opportunity to serve your behavioral health needs and will strive diligently and tirelessly to see to it that your expectations are met or exceeded. Ample parking is available around the entire perimeter of the building. This building is handicap accessible and entrances are provided at the front and back of the building.

I am not “in-network” and do not participate on any insurance panel, including Medicare. I am happy to provide a statement for any services rendered, which you may submit for reimbursement. Any reimbursement that you may be due will be made directly to you by your insurance company.

I will strive to be timely and to adhere to schedule. At times, situations beyond our control force us to run late. This will not be a frequent occurrence. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience, but ask for your understanding if delays occur. However, if I am running late and you cannot wait to see me, please do not interrupt a session in progress. Quietly slip a note under my office door notifying me of your situation and remain in the waiting room. I will immediately briefly suspend the session and speak with you.

Please make every effort to give at least 24 hours notice if a scheduled appointment cannot be kept. The regularly charged rate will apply if less than 24 hours notice is provided and the appointment time cannot be filled.

All stable patients, i.e. those who do not require medication changes and are doing well, should be seen no less frequently than every 3 months. This is considered to be a minimum standard of care and this policy will be strictly adhered to.

In general, prescriptions will be provided so that you have sufficient quantity until your next scheduled appointment. Please schedule future appointments accordingly so that your prescriptions do not run out and last minute phoning in of prescriptions can be avoided.

Payment is expected at the time services are rendered. This office accepts checks, cash, or credit cards. A $25 fee will be charged for any returned checks.

If problems or issues arise that should be addressed prior to a scheduled appointment, please feel free to contact me. If the matter cannot be adequately resolved over the telephone within a reasonable amount of time, I would encourage that your scheduled appointment be moved up. Alternatively, a phone session can be arranged as soon as is reasonably possible, billed at the current office rates in effect.
